Olipop Software and Design LLC ("Olipop," "we," "us," or "our") is a North Carolina-based software development studio. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information from users of our websites, mobile applications, and other digital products (collectively, our "Services").

Our current Services include, but are not limited to:

• Baseword — a multilingual word game available on Android, iOS, and the web at baseword.co
• KikAssist — a football/soccer word puzzle app available on Android and iOS at kikassist.com
• olipopsoftware.com — our company website

By using any of our Services, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of our Services.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

We may collect information you provide when you:

• Contact us via email or a contact form
• Create an account or register for a Service
• Submit feedback, bug reports, or support requests

This may include your name, email address, and the content of your communications.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Services, we and our third-party partners (such as Firebase/Google) may automatically collect:

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
• Usage data (features used, session length, in-app events, crash reports)
• Log data (IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, timestamps)
• Approximate location (derived from IP address or device settings, not precise GPS)

We use Google Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and app performance monitoring. Firebase collects data in accordance with Google's privacy policies. You can review Google's data practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

In-App Purchases and Virtual Goods

If our apps offer in-app purchases or virtual currency, payment transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment card information. Apple and Google's respective privacy policies govern payment data handling.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not display third-party advertisements in our apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not knowingly collect precise GPS location data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our Services
• Understand how users interact with our apps and website
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
• Respond to your questions, feedback, and support requests
• Send you important service-related communications (not marketing, unless you opt in)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party services such as Google Firebase that process data on our behalf. These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
• App stores: When you download our apps via the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms collect data under their own privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business transfer: If Olipop is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our websites (baseword.co, kikassist.com, olipopsoftware.com) may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

• Remember your preferences and settings
• Analyze site traffic and usage patterns
• Maintain session state

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect some features of our websites. Our mobile apps do not use browser cookies, but may use similar device-based identifiers for analytics purposes (see Firebase above).

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Analytics and crash data collected via Firebase is retained according to Firebase's default retention settings, which you can review at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Contact Us below).

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@olipopsoftware.com and we will take prompt steps to delete such information from our records.

If you are between 13 and 18 years old, please review this policy with a parent or guardian before using our Services.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information, so this right does not currently apply.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.

In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
